Project Green Up Kenya — 2023–2026
Our current flagship programme, powered by the European Development Fund. Bringing solar irrigation to Kenya's most climate-vulnerable farming households.
Why it matters
Erratic rainfall is the single greatest threat to smallholder food security in Kenya. Project Green Up Kenya addresses this directly — giving 111 vulnerable households access to reliable solar-powered irrigation, reducing dependence on unpredictable rains and building permanent resilience.

Real farmers. Real results.
One success story from each sector — Conservation Agriculture, Mechanisation, Agroforestry, and Women's Economic Empowerment.
Kakamega County
"Soil cover has increased my maize yield by 50%. I stopped burning my crop residue, and my soil is now healthier than ever. I have trained 12 of my neighbours."
Elgeyo Marakwet County
"No one can convince me to go back to conventional methods. I halved my labour costs through conservation agriculture, and I did not have to carry out any weeding for CA potatoes."
Tharaka Nithi County
"Women can lead in agricultural mechanization. I'm proving it every day." — Janice now owns a tractor, serves 300+ farmers, and has secured KES 4.8 million in bank loans.
Meru County
"While conservation agriculture has seen an uptick with Kenyan farmers, most potato growers are still ignorant of its tremendous benefits. From 8 bags per section, I now harvest 32 bags."
