PAFID (Participatory Approaches for Integrated Development) is a Kenyan NGO established in 2006 to empower smallholder farmers with the tools and knowledge to fight hunger and thrive in a changing climate.
Since 2011, PAFID has delivered 8 high-impact programmes in Climate-Smart Agriculture, women's economic empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, and clean energy — transforming over 200,000 lives across 25 counties.
Your donation funds direct field activities: farmer training, agroforestry nurseries, solar irrigation, and conservation agriculture demonstrations. 100% of every public donation reaches communities in need.
How we use your donation
All donor funds are managed by ICPAK-certified accountants, with clean audits maintained since 2018. Institutional costs are covered by grants from WFP, USAID, NORAD, Global Affairs Canada, the World Bank, and FAO.

Farmers trained by PAFID have achieved an average 40%+ increase in crop yields and a 60% improvement in gross margins. Over 1 million agroforestry trees have been planted and 50,000+ acres of degraded farmland restored.
